Dear Friends,
It will be blueberry season soon! We anticipate opening in mid-June. We will be making adjustments to adhere to any required restrictions to insure your safety. We hope that everyone Remains healthy and safe. Details will follow closer to picking season.
In the meantime we need to update everyone on some important information.
We have a NEW Picking Hotline number 410-398-9150. Please save this number to call for current updates.
Remember - We are no longer growing strawberries and raspberries. Please do not drive in the lane at the location where you are used to picking strawberries. The playground is also permanently closed. The blueberry picking entrance is located at 4040 Blue Ball Road.
We appreciate your understanding of these new changes. Please feel free to email use with any questions you might have.
Thank you and we looked forward to seeing old friends and new faces in the blueberry patch!
Walnut Springs Farm
Dear Loyal Customers,
After 43 years of fruit production Phil and Ruth Ann Johnson have decided to retire. Phil has actually been farming for over 65 years. He began growing black raspberries when he was 15 years old.
This current season will be the last strawberry and black raspberry pick-your-own season at Walnut Springs Farm. The blueberry patch pick-your own operation will continue under the ownership of Jen Arter.
When you come to the farm to pick this season please seek out Phil and Ruth Ann to share memories of your experiences at Walnut Springs. We will have a small display in the sales building with some photos and cards where you can leave a written memory if you like.
Phil and Ruth Ann want to thank everyone for their patronage and support over the last 43 years. They have enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces year after year and watching several generations of customer families visit to pick.
Sincerely,
Phil and Ruth Ann Johnson and the Walnut Springs Farm family
